Hendrik Quast is a performer, writer and theatre-maker. He studied at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at University of Giessen. In his practice, he focuses on the appropriation of technical and representational skills from various crafts to convert these learning processes into unique performance formats. All of his works are influenced by an intense engagement with the materiality of his objects under investigation. Recent projects include Nagelneu (Popup-Store, event, performance) presented at Sophiensaele Berlin; Gessnerallee Zürich; Schwankhalle Bremen; FFT Düsseldorf, and Greatest Show on Earth – Leo & Lilly  (circus act), performed at Kampnagel Hamburg; Mousonturm Frankfurt; Kammerspiele München; Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers Paris, and Sophiensaele Berlin.
