Maika Knoblich is a theatre maker and lighting designer. She worked as an assistant director at Theater Oberhausen and Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin for directors including Armin Petras and Jan Bosse, before taking up her studies at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen, Germany. For her master’s degree at DasArts in Amsterdam, which she received in 2013, she was awarded a scholarship for direction from the(DAAD). Since 2009 she has been part of the performance duo Quast & Knoblich together with Hendrik Quast.
